Heating elements are the heroes in our gadgets. They make things warm. Think of how difficult it would be to cook your favorite macaroni and cheese recipe without a heating element in your stove. The science behind how heating elements work

Heating elements are typically metallic stainless steel or nickel-chromium are common materials. When we switch on our appliances (sometimes with knobs, but often by pressing buttons of varying degrees of complexity) electricity starts to flow into the heating element and it gets hot. This process is known as resistance heating. The heating element resists the flow of electricity and generates heat. Subsequently the heat heats up whatever we’re cooking or heating. It's like magic.
